Building Research and Education Network Infrastructure in Africa

The connectivity opportunities presented by the three East African submarine cables that have recently landed and the signing of the EU AfricaConnect project document is a pivotal moment. This unique confluence of events brings a rare opportunity for stakeholders to come together and look at both policy and practical issues in exploiting to the full benefit both for the NRENs and the broader knowledge society. This Workshop ran as a parallel event at IST-Africa Conference & Exhibition 2010 and was captured on GLOBAL Plaza.
